The 4K digitally restored version of King HU’s A Touch of Zen was screened at the “Cannes Classics 2015”. It was the third Chinese-language film to enter Cannes’s official selection following HOU Hsiao-hsien’s The Assassin and JIA Zhangke’s Mountains May Depart.

Best Actress winner of the Golden Horse Awards and the Asia Pacific Film Festival, Brigitte LIN, donated 1.95 million NTD.

During the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage press conference, TFI shared the results of the restoration of Storm over the Yangtze River, The Best Secret Agent, Vengeance of the Phoenix Sisters, and Super Citizen KO. The leading actor of The Best Secret Agent, senior actor KO Chun-hsiung, attended the event in spite of ill health, and reunited with fellow star PAI Hung on stage.

The “Versatile Director KUO Nan-hung’s 60-Year Career in Film” festival and exhibition opened at the Wonderful Theatre and Taipei Zhongshan Hall, lasting till November 29th, showcasing donated posters, stills, and other creative works by Kuo.

The "Film Art on Campus - Edumovie" teaching materials for both elementary and junior high school levels were completed and open for free downloads. And the public presentation edition of the films could be screened at schools. TFI also held outreach workshops to facilitate trial teaching and share lesson plans, as well as invited many directors to share their filmmaking experience. Through these teaching materials, TFI hoped to cultivate children's visual literacy and hoped they would regard film as a medium for "exploring life and knowing thyself". The 4K digitally restored version of HOU Hsiao-hsien’s 1987 film Daughter of the Nile was screened at the Berlinale Classics.
