The "From Opposition to Integration - 50 Years of the 228 Incident” film festival and symposium curated by CTFA, and co-hosted by Taipei City Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Taipei 228 Memorial Museum, was held at the Taipei 228 Memorial Museum. Six films were screened outdoors - March of Happiness directed by LIN Cheng-sheng, Love Song of the Tea Mountains directed by LIU Shi-fang, Descendants of the Yellow Emperor directed by PAI Ke, Under One Roof directed by TSUNG Yu, Our Neighbor directed by LEE Hsing, and Good Neighbors also directed by LEE Hsing. In addition, the book launch for Writings about and by Director PAI Ke was held to commemorate the late director PAI Ke, who was executed due to political persecution.

Organized the 1st Taiwan International Animation Festival which opened at the Kaohsiung Film Library. From April 11th to 19th, screenings were also held at the Taipei Shin Shin Living Theater and SPOT-Taipei Film House; and from April 23rd to 27th at the Image Museum of Hsinchu City.

Co-organized the “Taiwan Cinema Classics” program with Taipei County’s Yingge Ceramics Museum, screenings 13 classic Mandarin-language and Taiwanese-language films, including The Adulteress.

The editing committee of the Film Appreciation journal’s academic edition was formed, consisting of 10 scholars who participated in two preparatory meetings in July. LIN Wen-chi was elected as the chairman of the first year.

Co-organized the "1st Yilan International Children's Film Festival" with Yilan County Government. The festival would later be held twice a year during summer and winter vacations, and would include a teacher training program and a creative section to teach Yilan County’s junior high and elementary school art teachers about filmmaking techniques.

Starting from this year's 26th Golden Harvest Awards for Outstanding Shorts, the previous VHS categories of "experimental" and "narrative" films would be merged into the "narrative and experimental" category. There would thus be three categories in total: "narrative and experimental", "animation", and "documentary".
