Ministry of National Defense’s Entertainment Battalion signed a contract to entrust CTFA to preserve over 500 films produced by China Motion Picture Studio over the years.
Motion Picture Industry Division of Executive Yuan’s Government Information Office and CTFA held a signing ceremony, putting Taiwan Film Culture Co.’s entire 3 million feet newsreels, narrative films, and 5,719 reels of master tapes into CTFA’s care.
In a meeting about the merging of Executive Yuan’s Council for Cultural Affairs’ affiliated institutions, the consensus of upgrading CTFA to “Taiwan Film Institute” was reached.
