1978.3.29

On March 29th, the "Film Library”, established by Executive Yuan’s Government Information Office and the Motion Picture Foundation, R.O.C., found its home at No. 7, Qingdao E. Rd., Taipei City, becoming the first film library in Taiwan. HSU Li-kong, then Chief of the 2nd Division of the Department of Broadcasting and Television under Executive Yuan’s Government Information Office, was appointed the first director of the Film Library.

Shortly after the winners of the Golden Harvest Awards for Outstanding Short Films were revealed, the Film Library held a free screening of the 12 awarded films.

Central Motion Picture Co. donated prints of The Everlasting Glory, Home, Sweet Home, Eight Hundred Heroes, and The Life God.

The Audiovisual Department of Executive Yuan’s Government Information Office donated 27 documentaries, including Chinese Acupuncture, Life in Kinmen, Kaohsiung Today, and Traces of Green.
