About Paid Membership

There are two membership options: "Time Keeper" Basic Membership and "Time Traveler" Advanced Membership. Those who have not completed the payment are only "registrants", not members.

  2. Membership Details
    1. "Time Keeper" Basic Membership:
      1. Annual membership fee: NT$300
      2. Gift: one movie voucher for movie screenings held independently by TFAI.
      3. Discounted tickets: subject to the pricing of each film
      4. Redemption of membership points
      5. Priority booking for TFAI events
        Registration discounts for special events.
      6. Store discount: special discount at TFAI’s restaurants and stores, subject to the notice of each store.10% off TFAI publications and cultural and creative products purchased at TFAI’s venue stores and online store. Should other discounts be available, they can not be applied at the same time.
      7. Library access: in-library reading of books, periodicals, and newspapers (please refer to the Guidelines for Access to the Audiovisual Library of the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute).
      8. Access to audiovisual materials in the library: individual audiovisual seating is available.
    2. "Time Traveler" Library & Audiovisual Center Membership
      1. The membership fee is NT$1,000 and is valid for five years.
      2. Gift： Ten complimentary movie vouchers for movie screenings independently held by TFAI.
      3. Discounted tickets: subject to the pricing of each film
      4. Redemption of membership points
      5. Birthday Gift: One movie voucher per year. Received in the month of the member’s birthday.
      6. Registration discounts for special events.
      7.     3. Details on Member Point Redemption
      Content Description
      Film Tickets Receive 1 point for every NT$20 spent.
      If a member purchases tickets for a program held by TFAI on the OPENTIX Ticketing System, they must bind their membership to the TFAI on the OPENTIX ticketing system to keep their spending records and collecting membership points.
      Other spending at TFAI restaurants, stores, events, etc. Receive 1 point for every NT$100 spent.
      You can collect points at the service counter on the first floor of TFAI with the receipts within 30 days from the date of purchase.
      What can be redeemed? Film tickets, membership fees, event products, etc.
      When do points expire? Points accumulated in the current year are valid till December 31 of the following year, or when the membership expires. Points unredeemed after the expiration date will automatically expire.
      What is the value of 1 point? 1 point is equivalent to NT$ 1.

Membership Application

Everyone is eligible to apply for TFAI membership. However, those under the age of 18 must obtain the consent of their legal representative and fill in the legal representative’s consent form before applying. Methods of application for membership are as follows:
  1. On-site application: Applicants must have a valid identity document (ID card, health insurance card, driver's license, or other valid photo IDs.), resident certificate or passport. Present the ID at the service counter on the first floor and fill out the membership application form. Those under 18 years of age must attach a consent form from their legal representative to apply for membership.
  2. Online application: Applicants must be over 18 years old and have a valid ID (ID card, health insurance card, driver's license, or other valid photo IDs), resident certificate or passport. Please fill out the application form in the membership section on the website.
  3. After completing the application form, please add the official TFAI account on LINE. Scan the following QR code or search for TFAI official ID: @tfai to obtain a digital membership card.

    Residents who are registered in New Taipei City are entitled to a discount of 300 NTD on the membership fee for "Time Traveler" (Basic Member) and "Time Traveler" (Advanced Member). An identity document (ID card, resident certificate, or other valid photo IDs) and the proof of the registered address are required.

Membership Policy

  1. Within the validity period of membership, members purchasing tickets for films organized by TFAI or merchandise sold at TFAI, or participating in TFAI events are entitled to receive discounts and points upon presenting the membership card.
  2. Within the validity period of membership, members also receive discounts and points when purchasing tickets from ticketing systems and purchasing products from TFAI's website.
  3. The aforementioned benefits are only applicable to events organized by TFAI, films shown at TFAI, and merchandise sold at TFAI (some films, events and merchandise may not be eligible for membership discounts, please refer to the notice on TFAI’s website or at the venue).
