Taiwan's first cultural venue identification transparent display was installed at the automatic door No. 2 of TFAI venue. The application combines the data detected by the millimeter wave multiple environmental data sensing prototype development service, provides the function of "program information carousel," and also presents a new type of display facade.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the novel "The Outsiders," TFAI held a ceremony for starting digital restoration of the movie "The Outsiders," and invited the original author Pai Hsien-yung, the director YU Kan-ping, and starring Su Ming-ming to the event.

TFAI restored classic Emperor's Adventures in Hsi Hu once again selected into the Cinema Regained section of the International Film Festival Rotterdam and had its world premiere at the film festival.

Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Taiwan Cultural Center in Paris, and TFAI jointly participate The 35th Festival Travelling de Rennes in France with the exhibition theme "Taiwan-Taipei" which included TFAI's 16 restored films. Director Mi-Mi LEE was invited to share her work with European movie fans.

The 4K digitally restored version of The Wayward Cloud, independently restored in-house by TFAI with support from the Kaohsiung Film Archive, was selected for the Classics section of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival.

TFAI joins hands with New Taipei Municipal Hsinchuang Senior High School and New Taipei City Xinzhuang Elementary School to launch the North District "Film Education Cooperation Base" to promote film education to take root and promote local co-prosperity.

To celebrate the TFAI's anniversary on March 29th, 2024, several 2.0 upgrades have been introduced, including the launch of Membership 2.0 services and new bilingual audio guides in Chinese and English.

Hosted The 4th Joint Award Ceremony for Outstanding Film, Television and Audiovisual Workers and made the world premiere of the restored film The Spring Outside the Fence. The Director LEE You-ning was invited to attend, and the tickets were sold out. A music market event was held on the weekend of that week, inviting famous singers Panai and Wu Roomi to attend, attracting a large crowd of participants.

The world premieres of the TFAI's restored films The Woman of Wrath, My Native Land and Beautiful Duckling at the 26th Far East Film Festival (FEFF) in Italy.

Organized the 14th Taiwan International Documentary Film Festival (TIDF), showcasing 134 films in 195 screenings programs and events. Over 100 international guests were attended.

Held "Jamming with Archive: Re-Coding" during the 14th TIDF Taiwan International Documentary Film Festival, inviting five groups of artists to perform audiovisual creation using Taiwan Film Culture Company's newsreel collection.

TFAI Open Museum provided open access and free download of 2000 newsreel collections from Taiwan Film Culture Company.

In collaboration with Cinemateca Portuguesa, to organize special program "Revisitar o Cinema Novo de Taiwan," which invited director LEE You-ning to attend the post-screening discussion of  The Two of Us.

Curated featured program "Through Her Vision: New Cinema Re-imagined" to re-explore Taiwan New Cinema era from a female perspective. The opening event featured special screening of TFAI's restored film The Woman of Wrath, inviting author LI Ang, actresses Patricia HA, YANG Li-yin and LI Shu-chen. An extended exhibition "When She Makes Movies" provided an rare opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the stories behind new films and the contributions of female filmmakers.

TFAI and Tainan Municipal Anping District Yizai Elementary School jointly launched the "Film Education Collaboration Base," which promotes film aesthetics education and implements cultural accessibility.

Held the first "TFAI Summer Camp," led by experienced instructors to provide step-by-step guidance for participants to develop their imagination into film production, and to widen children's thinking through moving images.

Ms. Li-Chin DU assumed as the Executive Director of TFAI.

TFAI's educational publication Memoirs of an Actress was nominated for the 15th Golden Comic Awards & Connection (Comic of the Year) by the Ministry of Culture.

Organized outdoor screening of La La Land, accompanied with a snack market event promoting featured program of the month. Over 2000 people attended this event.

TFAI's collaboration with the Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government and other units, to organize event series "Fall in Love with Taipei" to celebrate the 140th anniversary of Taipei City. 13 films, including Cloud of Romance, were screened in 28 screening events.

Film Appreciation Journal published by Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute, was nominated for the 48th Golden Tripod Awards in Best Arts and Humanities Magazine, and received accolade in Best Artistic Design.

TFAI's first collaboration with National Film Institute Hungary, to showcase "Dragon Superman Trilogy", Dragon Inn, A Touch of Zen, Legend of the Mountain, and Raining in the Mountain in Budapest Classical Film Marathon.

TFAI's restored film The Woman of Wrath was selected for San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain.

TFAI's restored film The Woman of Wrath gained its first entry in Lumière Festival (Lumière Classics) in France. TFAI also set up a booth at International Classic Film Market to promote Taiwan's classic films and in-house film restoration.

In collaboration with Hakka Public Communication Foundation, Hakka dubbed version of My Native Land was priemiered at Kaohsiung Film Festival.

In response to World Audiovisual Heritage Day, TFAI held a donor appreciation ceremony, which included Miramar Cinema representative HOU Pei-li, Carol Wong, HUANG Ting-fu, and Jong LIN; Schools that joined TFAI's "Film Education Collaboration Base" to promote film aesthetic educaiton were praised, including principal of Tainan Municipal Anping District Yizai Elementary School LIN Chih-cheng, principal of Xinzhuang Elementary School LIN Hui-chen, and director of Hsin Chuang Senior High School LAN Wei-chen.

TFAI's restored film The Outsiders was premiered in featured program "From Outsiders to Pride." Author PAI Hsien-yung, director YU Kan-ping, actress SU Ming-ming, and editing director LIAO Ching-sung were invited to share their filmmaking experiences. Tickets were sold out and Minister of Culture LI Yuan met with the creators before screening.

In response to World Audiovisual Heritage Day, TFAI held an full-house outdoor screening event, showcasing its in-house restoration Dragon Superman.

Held "Audiovisual Research Exchange Conference" and published TFAI's research project Revisit the 11th Film Festival in ASIA & Aviation Accident of CT106. Related online exhibition was released at TFAI Open Museum.

TFAI collaborated with Taiwan International Queer Film Festival to screen TFAI's restored film The Outsiders. TFAI chairman Arthur CHU and film director YU Kan-ping were invited to attend post-screening discussion.

In collaboration with the Norwegian Film Institute, "Taiwanske bølger" was the first large-scale special screening of Taiwanese films in Norway.

In collaboration with Asian Film Archive in Singapore, "Retrospective: Edward Yang" was the first touring exhibition of "A One and A Two: Edward Yang Retrospective."

TFAI's film collection team went to Imagica Entertainment Media Services, Inc. in Japan to attend professional training on film repair techniques, including cleaning and handling deteriorated film reels. Operations of film duplication equipment, scanning, grading, and photographic processing, were introduced.

TFAI's restored film Story of Mother was selected for Golden Horse Film Festival's Restored Classics section, and also its Asia premiere.

Family of CHIANG Jih-sheng, founder of Yung Sheng Film Co., donated economic rights of the company's film work production to TFAI.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Vive L'Amour and the establishment of Daan Forest Park, TFAI invited director TSAI Ming-liang, actor LEE Kang-sheng and actress YANG Kuei-mei, to attend TFAI's 2K restoration of Vive L'Amour screening event at Daan Forest Park to celebrate New Year's Eve.
