Karel Zeman is a pioneering figure in Czech animation and cinema who, with his unique visual effects and storytelling techniques, successfully brought Czech film onto the international stage. Excelled at blending live-action, animation, and innovative special effects to create worlds rich in fantasy and adventure, Zeman breaks the boundaries between traditional animation and live filming, and profoundly influencing subsequent animation and film creation.

“Karel Zeman: A Czech Animated Odyssey” is co-organized with the Czech Centre Taipei and generously supported by the Karel Zeman Museum.
