Poinsettia, having just ended a delusional relationship with the deceased composer Giacomo Puccini, decides to move and she finds herself neighbors with Obadiah 'Fish' Johnson, a Jamaican immigrant recently released from a mental institution, who constantly wrestles an invisible demon. Single, and both entering a new chapter of their lives, the two eccentric souls harbor a new relationship sprouting from their resemblance in loneliness. Charles Burnett's long-lost feature brings alive a charming romantic comedy full of humor, humanity and compassion.
