曼麗、秀珍與純美離開香山，前往台北討生活。曼麗嚮往愛情與物質享受，秀珍想迅速賺錢，純美則盼望穩定工作與感情。然而，她們進城前便遭遇男性設下的陷阱；到了台北，求職、金錢與情愛的誘惑，將三人推向不同險境。

六〇年代後期，台語影壇興起異色片風潮，本片即在此背景誕生，將包養、以模特兒工作為名誘拍裸照、拉皮條與處女情結編入女性敘事。三名少女從香山前往台北，展開由鄉村通往都市的危險性地景。其場面調度與配樂，創造出極富活力卻又危機四伏的氛圍。她們因追求金錢、愛情與生活，成為剝削網絡的目標。余漢祥後以同一梗概為邵氏拍成國語片《失身》。

Man-li, Xiu-zhen, and Chun-mei leave Xiangshan for Taipei, each seeking love, money, or stability. Before reaching the city, they encounter predatory men; in Taipei, work, wealth, and intimacy draw them into danger. Blending sexploitation with female-centred melodrama, the film maps migration as a gendered terrain of desire and exploitation. Dynamic staging and music create an atmosphere at once lively and perilous. Yu Han-hsiang later reworked the story for Shaw Brothers in Hong Kong.
