通緝犯大豪為逃避追緝，欲潛入阿里山小屋躲藏，卻在車站巧遇離家出走的女孩小珊，兩人索性假扮父女同行。山中氣象觀測站裡，學者志平終日埋首研究，妻子君麗長年被忽視，只能借酒澆愁。大豪與小珊的到來，撩動封閉山屋中的情感暗潮：缺乏母愛的小珊依戀君麗，孤獨的君麗被大豪的粗獷氣息吸引，大豪則在邂逅少女阿紅後，體悟內心長久失落的真情。當颱風逼近，眾人困守山中，內心慾望與不安如呼嘯狂風，牽引一連串未知的命運轉折。

改編自潘壘中篇小說，在與世隔絕的簡約場景，以自然環境呼應人物心緒流轉，場面調度技法細膩嫻熟，形塑台灣當年少見的現代主義氣質奇作。

Nearly seven years into her isolated life at a mountain weather station, a neglected woman numbs her loneliness with alcohol. Her routine is unsettled by the arrival of a man and a little girl claiming to be father and daughter. Drawn to his dangerous charm and stirred by the child's presence, she feels herself awakened again, but is unaware that her guests are hiding secrets that will soon unravel the fragile calm.
