怪盜基德發出預告，將在大阪奪取鈴木集團收藏中的俄羅斯羅曼諾夫王朝遺產，第51個「皇帝復活節彩蛋」，名為「回憶之卵」。在中森警官的監督下，真品被掉包，但仍被怪盜基德破解，順利偷走彩蛋。很快，柯南和平次察覺不對勁緊追在基德身後，然而基德突然被槍擊中掉入海中，生死不明。彩蛋重回鈴木集團手中，為檢察是否有異樣，一行人乘坐郵輪返回東京。

船上，眾人圍著彩蛋欣賞精美的工藝，柯南發現設計圖殘片上的蛋形狀不對稱，推測原本應有兩顆蛋。蛋裡鑲嵌的鏡子是一面魔鏡，映照出位於橫須賀市的德國風格城堡。毛利小五郎推理第二顆蛋，很有可能就藏在城堡裡。

The Phantom Thief Kid's latest target is the recently discovered Fabergé egg, which is exhibiting in Osaka. Unable to prevent the heist, Conan and Heiji chase after the flying Kid, but witness an unknown assailant strikingly shoot Kid in the eye, resulting in an ambiguous death. The egg is retrieved and taken back to Tokyo for inspection. On the way, an unexpected guest sheds light on the true worth of the egg, or more precisely, two eggs.
