魯邦與次元從國營賭場的金庫中成功盜取出大量金錢，發現被稱為「夢幻偽鈔」的哥德鈔也參雜在其中，對此深感興趣，於是決定將目標鎖定哥德鈔的發源地——歐洲小國卡里奧斯特羅公國。兩人潛入卡里奧斯特羅公國，恰巧遇見身穿新娘禮服的少女可拉莉絲正被武裝份子追捕，魯邦出手幫忙擊退追兵，卻不慎墜崖失去了意識，而少女也遭遇到襲擊。

魯邦清醒後得知此事是伯爵的陰謀，為了救出可拉莉絲，計畫潛入幽禁她的城塔。魯邦寄了一封預告信給伯爵，魯邦VS卡里奧斯特羅伯爵的戰火，就此正式點燃！

Not long after Lupin and Jigen could celebrate their latest heist, Lupin recognised the bills as distinctively high-quality counterfeits. To trace its source, the duo sneaks into the Grand Duchy of Cagliostro. On their way, they encounter a car chase between a group of armed thugs and a young lady. Lupin attempts to help but falls off a cliff unconscious while the lady is captured. All the clues lead to Count Cagliostro, who is secretly brewing an unbelievable plan.
