大正年間，已婚的無政府主義者大杉榮高舉情慾自由之旗，與兩名女性主義者發展多角戀，革命理想糾葛愛恨妒火，引爆1916年的日蔭茶屋情殺未遂事件。半世紀後，兩名青年追索三人足跡，從歷史走入想像，將虛無的1960年代與浪漫的大正時代並置，虛實彼此滲透，愛欲殘影彷彿跨越時空、反覆變奏，直至真偽難辨。

「日本近代批判三部曲」首章，以解構歷史的後設敘事、偏離中心的激進構圖，質問自由與解放的真諦，從多重曖昧視點揭露政治運動者的人性面貌，將被社會束縛的激情，化作在迷宮迴廊中的相愛相殺。影片當年因影射真實人物而遭刪剪，本次放映導演版，完整重現大師視野。

A sweeping, experimental narrative intertwining two timelines: one tracing early-20th-century anarchists advocating free love and challenging social norms; the other following 1960s student activists studying those ideas. As the past and present collide through disorienting montage, the film probes love, politics, and the fragile boundary between liberation and exploitation, crafting a bold meditation on personal desire and social upheaval.
