The film conjures two Wittgensteins—the precocious child and the troubled adult—on a black, near-empty stage of saturated colour. Aphoristic scenes and sparkling dialogue sketch Cambridge salons, war service, love, and the pivot from the Tractatus to language games. More masque than lesson, the film performs philosophy rather than explaining it, turning ideas into images and jokes, and the thinker into a vivid, perplexed human.
