A professor's wife begins working at a boutique shop, where she meets a new acquaintance and starts to attend dance parties regularly. She becomes infatuated with a man and decides to take dance lessons from the next-door neighbor. Meanwhile, the professor is drawn to a student who works as a typist, but is reluctant to risk his family while waiting for his wife to return.
