Following the mysterious shipwreck of freighter Eiko-maru and the continuous disappearances of fishing boats, the locals of Odo Island are convinced that the ancient sea creature "Godzilla" has woken. After a night of heavy storms, the island is left with wreckage and an enormous footprint. When the government sends paleontologist Kyohei Yamane to investigate, the team encounters a terrifying discovery.
