In Paris, Jacques saves Marthe from a fateful leap off the Pont-Neuf. To distract Marthe from her sorrows, they agree to meet each other again. Over the course of four nights, they begin to open their hearts to each other; Marthe recounts the past of her love life, while Jacques is falling deeply for her. Considered as Robert Bresson's most accessible and most personal work, this poetic and dreamy exploration on love and fantasy is a must-see after being decades away from the silver screen.
