日本青年林訓明赴港尋戀人麗花，因酷似集團殺手「林文明」，甫上岸即捲入黑幫追殺與警方懷疑。他在神祕客「九哥」與酒吧老闆娘援手下追查真相；隨交易日逼近、鎗火一觸即發，九哥的神祕身分，將改寫這場危險誤認的命運。

何基明與日籍導演南部泰三（原名松角知己男）共同執導，以偵探犯罪類型包裹異國情調，是華興停運後，何基明轉向跨國產製的實踐。南部泰三具「滿洲映畫協會」經歷，後成立「第八藝術集團」投入跨域製作。開場曲的原曲為日活巨星石原裕次郎名曲，加上日本演員參與演出，折射出當時台語片與東亞之間的互動關係。也顯示台語片並非孤立，而是置身區域電影網絡中，積極開拓商業模式與市場。

Japanese youth Lin Xun-ming travels to Hong Kong in search of his lover, Li-hua. Due to his striking resemblance to the syndicate hitman "Lin Wen-ming," he is thrust into a web of mob hits and police suspicion immediately upon arrival. With the help of the mysterious "Brother Nine" and a local bar owner, Xun-ming pursues the truth amidst an exotic detective thriller. As the transaction day approaches and gunfire becomes imminent, Brother Nine’s hidden identity arrives to rewrite the fate of this dangerous mistaken identity and the shadows of a smuggling empire.
