高校少女夜間搭車險遭性侵，幸獲大學青年相救。不料兩人結伴出遊時，他卻也強行侵犯了她。少女迷惘之際，竟愛上這位暴走憤青。生活拮据下，青年靠富婆包養，更唆使少女聯手仙人跳。引火上身的扭曲關係，讓兩人逐步滑向墜落邊緣。

日本新浪潮先鋒之作，一反前代導演同情「受害者」的位置與感傷情調，大島渚改由「犯罪者」視角切入，透過性與暴力、激昂的視聽衝擊，與不妥協的批判意志，拆穿戰後和平假象，赤裸暴露社會暗角。電影問世正逢安保鬥爭高峰，但導演不鍾情抗爭者，反聚焦對政治幻滅的青年，改以肉身與欲望自證存在，映照青春世代的虛無與失落。

Kiyoshi rescues high school girl Makoto from a middle-aged man's assault, and a reckless love ignites between them. They drift through life on the fringes, luring men and extorting them through staged violence. When mishaps shatter their fragile world, their passion begins to unravel. Set amid the 1960 Anpo protests, the film heralds the Japanese New Wave, revealing postwar disillusionment through raw desire, youthful rebellion, and moral decay.
