2011年至2013年間，洛杉磯多所高中樂隊的低音號接連神秘遭竊，眾人追問犯案動機、樂器下落，卻鮮少人想到：當聲音的基底被掏空與剝奪時，這個世界會變成什麼模樣？

天生聽損的女藝術家奧丹尼爾以真實竊案為基底，細膩描繪聽障人士在洛杉磯喧嚷大城生活的感官體驗。全片將聽障人士慣用的輔助字幕，轉化成另一層敘事維度，並重現1952年約翰凱吉無聲樂曲《4分33秒》首演、1979年舊金山聾人俱樂部邀請龐克樂團演出等「聲音史」事件，以聲音而非影像為本位，讓聽人觀眾重新「感知」潛伏於日常聲景下的無聲躁動，穿透瘖啞與聽人世界的隔膜，任感官變形錯位。電影不僅發生在銀幕上，更縈繞於你我雙耳之間。

Between 2011 and 2013, twelve high schools in Southern California had their tubas stolen. Rather than focusing on the crime, the film delves into what happens when sound is lost. Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles’s constant noise, the film reimagines listening, silence, and communication through Deaf experience, blending real events with reenactments of historic concerts to question how we perceive and understand sound itself.
