大雄在恐龍博物館參加挖掘化石體驗時，偶然發現了一個化石。深信這是個恐龍化石的大雄，使用了哆啦A夢的道具「時光布」讓化石回到原本的狀態，結果竟然孵化了恐龍雙胞胎小Q與小妙！而這兩隻恐龍，似乎是從來沒被發現過的新品種。大雄像父母一樣用愛呵護著牠們，但是恐龍終究還是無法在現代生存長大。

大雄下定決心要將小Q與小妙帶回屬於牠們的年代，與哆啦A夢跟夥伴們一起前往6600萬年前的白堊紀末期。一場找尋小Q與小妙同伴的大冒險就此展開。然而當大雄一行人抵達目的地，卻發現一個更大的歷史危機——恐龍大滅絕！

Nobita accidentally stumbles upon a fossil at the dinosaur fossil exhibition. Believing he has discovered a fossil egg, he uses Doraemon's "Time blanket" to revert the fossil to its original state. The egg hatches an unknown species of dinosaur, which Nobita names Kyu and Myu. As Kyu and Myu grow, the risk of being discovered escalates; Nobita and his friends decide to bring them back to the Cretaceous period, 66 million years ago, but face the dilemma of encountering the great Dinosaur Extinction.
