In a robot world, Rodney is a young, idealistic inventor who idolises Bigweld, a master inventor and owner of Bigweld Industries. Encouraged by his father, Rodney travels to the big city to meet his idol and befriends a group of outcasts. At last, Rodney approaches Bigweld's gate of dreams, unknowing that shortly, he and his friends will end up fighting against the tyrant Ratchet for everyone's future.
