三個從大陸來港犯案的匪徒，搶劫銀樓後遇上巡警而倉皇逃逸，其中一人躲進大樓之內。鍾Sir領隊的重案組奉命到場，意外發現另一幫攜帶重型槍械的悍匪匿藏大樓之中。曾接觸悍匪的咖啡廳老闆娘協助調查，竟與重案組鍾Sir和李森重逢，引發曖昧的三角情緣。重案組成功阻止悍匪搶劫計劃之際，卻遇上早前逃脫的另外兩位銀樓劫匪，形勢急轉直下。

本片像一個奇峰突出的篇章，示範了銀河映像最常觸碰的人生無常、宿命等主題，無論是人物關係或劇情轉折，都有意料之外的發展，絕望的結局尤其令人措手不及。戲裡的金句：「有傘的時候沒有雨，有雨的時候沒有傘」，成為命運弄人的諷刺註腳。

After a jewelry store robbery by three mainland criminals goes awry, one suspect flees into a building, drawing in a special unit led by an experienced officer. There, a second group of heavily armed fugitives is unexpectedly uncovered. A café owner previously entangled with them is enlisted to assist, sparking a tense love triangle. A major assault leads to victory, but a sudden reappearance of the original robber turns celebration into chaos. Milkyway Image's recurring themes of life's impermanence and fatalism culminates in a bleak and unforeseen ending.
