1990年代初，日本興起樂團風潮，Fishmans自1987年成團以來，團員因各自的生涯規劃紛紛離去；1998年底，為了與即將離團的貝斯手柏原讓做最後告別，Fishmans舉辦了「男人們的告別」巡演。隔年三月，樂團創作核心佐藤伸治突然離世，樂團也因此中止運作，Fishmans的音樂反而透過網路散播，及後輩音樂人翻唱致敬逐漸擴大，鼓手茂木欣一及貝斯手柏原讓也從2005年開始，多次以Fishmans名義參與各項演出。

本片探訪曾參與的團員及音樂人們，收入大量未曾公開過的珍貴影像、演出片段及佐藤的創作手稿，帶觀眾回到1990年代，直擊樂團摸索樂風以及歌曲從細碎火花迸生的過程。

After the vocalist and song writer Shinji Sato's death, the Japanese band Fishmans ceased all the band's events. However, Fishmans' music gradually expanded its reach through internet sharing. The drummer and the bassist have also participated in the band's various performances since 2005. Including a wealth of footage, performance clips, Shinji Sato's manuscripts, this film takes the audience back to the 1990s to witness the band's change of their musical style and the process of their songs being born from scattered sparks.
