The newly restored Kurosawa's epic thriller in 4K tells the story of a sixteenth-century farming village desperate for protection from raiding bandits before the crops are ripe. Despite suffering from poverty, the villagers manage to hire seven noble samurai willing to take on the challenge and accept white rice as their only reward. Preparations soon began as each samurai worked with the villagers to defend against the impending attack.
