台灣影人鄒時擎與創作夥伴西恩貝克受逗馬95運動及達頓兄弟啟發，從住所樓下的中國餐館取材，融合紮實田調、紀錄跟拍，以華人社群觀點撰寫劇本，三千美元的超低成本、生猛的手持攝影、素人與專業演員的混用，令人聯想王穎一鳴驚人的《尋人》。影片對邊緣社群的關注、底層小人物的溫暖，亦成為導演日後的創作印記。

In this gritty, vérité-style independent film, an undocumented Chinese immigrant works tirelessly as a deliveryman in New York City, trying to pay off a crippling debt to a ruthless loan shark. As the hours tick down and setbacks mount, he grapples with the harsh reality of his circumstances. Over the course of a long, rain-soaked day, moments of unexpected humanity offer brief glimmers of hope amidst the struggle to survive.
