A young projectionist who dreams of becoming a detective finds himself broke after buying a gift for his beloved. Falsely accused of stealing a watch by a rival, he must imitate movie heroes to clear his name and win her back. In the 1920s, Keaton extended the length of his films, blending humor with his cinematic genius through inventive scenes and thrilling chases.
