Through the symbol of "water" in Japanese culture and language, this film outlines the mythologized lifestyle of geishas. Magical imagery layered with effects and dialogue shifting between languages creates a critique of Japanese women's portrayal in the imaginary, viewing "translation" as the subjective basis of ethnography.
