A boy and his little sister are packed off to their grandparents. Though relationships are strained at first, the siblings end up having a wonderful summer in the lyrical Taiwanese countryside. Based on a short story by the film's screenwriter, Chu Tien-wen, this pristine gem continues her collaboration with Hou following The Boys from Fengkuei.
