Having watched the years and illnesses blur the mind, dull the senses, the director spent five years chronicling the life of Edwin Honig, a brilliant yet stern poet, translator, and professor, whose wisdom and memory were gradually taken by Alzheimer's in the twilight of his life. The film is rooted in Honig's rich metaphors, wisdom, and affection, composing a poem for forgetfulness.
