Siao Yu, a Chinese immigrant, is married to 60-year-old Mario in a bid to secure US citizenship for herself and her boyfriend. However, complications arise when Mario's estranged wife unexpectedly returns. As tensions of hatred, envy, care, and empathy develop among the four, an unlikely bond forms between Siao Yu and Mario.
