上禾與老鼠兩兄弟一直照料著酗酒的母親。但就在上禾離家赴美不久，老鼠卻跟好友仁碩在高雄闖下大禍，與黑道老大結下樑子。母親因酗酒意外猝死，多日後才被發現，讓老鼠感到自責。一度為情自殺的上禾，回台奔喪時，竟和仁碩產生曖昧……。此時高雄老大北上復仇，綁架了老鼠女友，逼他出面解決，老鼠無路可走、決定使出重手……。

Rat and Shanghe used to look after their mother, an alcoholic who once worked in a variety troupe and then became the Mama-san of a hostess bar. Soon after Shanghe left for the States, Shuo took Rat on a short trip to Kaohsiung in the south. There, they clashed with local gangsters and Rat scarred the face of the gang-boss Ah Xiang. While Rat was away, his mother died in an accident. Several days passed before her body was found. Both her sons still live with the guilty feeling that they weren’t there for her when she needed them. And since her death, the spirit of Thanatos seems to have entered the house, affecting both brothers in ways...
