關於一隻貓與一座城市，

關於生命喪失他們的身份與名字。

導演的話：「兩年前我看到一個攝影集，拍攝收容所裡的動物，當下我寫下了一些文字，而這部動畫的靈感也就在當下浮現。於是我想用一部動畫來談談那些動物，那些徘徊在城市裡，棲息在城市巨大陰影之中的邊緣生物。牠們棲息於人類文明的巨大巢穴之中，被迫服從異族的律法與道德而逐漸失去自我而變成另一種截然不同的生物，即使有一天，少數動物被收養，被收編在家庭之中成為人類情感的依託，以此換取生存的資格與資源，城市本身依舊缺少積極性的作為，於是問題依舊存在，一切都跟往常一樣。

我想強調出一種觀點，流浪動物是都市文明的一部份。他們被城市形塑出一種與自然狀態下截然不同的生命境遇，而在他們的處境之中我們看見的不只是那些動物本身，甚至能窺見一個不斷膨脹的巨大陰影，與陰影之中無數迷惘、遍尋不著陽光的諸多生靈。」

This is a film between a cat and a city,

a film about life lost its name and identity.

Director's statement: "I saw a photography project two years ago, and it’s about animals that live in shelters. I wrote down some words after I saw those pictures, and the idea of this animation came out at the same time.

I wanted to talk about the animals which live in the city. They are forced to inhabit in the giant shadows of the city. Following our rules makes these animals become another kind of creature.

Even some of them are adopted like a child. The problem of homeless animals is still there.

The shadow of the urban is still getting bigger. It traps a lot of creatures, not only the innocent animals, but also some of us."
