LIOU, an independent woman, finds herself pregnant and seeks a fake marriage. She meets BI Bao-liang, a reserved man who has never been in a relationship. Though initially reluctant, BI agrees to a one-year arrangement, leading them to live together, where their unexpected journey begins. Adapted from CHU Tien-wen's novel and co-written by HOU Hsiao-hsien, this urban romantic comedy eschews moral judgment, instead spotlighting the awakening of female consciousness.
